[Recommended]: Ije Ude, Zen Human Design Coach with Soul-Powered Solutions »
I recently got quite a substantial amount of tax return money, and since I was at a crossroads in life I decided to consult a few people for spiritual advice. Thankfully I’ve gotten good experiences from all, so I’ll write about who I talked to and how it went.

Ije is a soul-centered WOC coach who uses zen human design as the basis of her work with you. She takes note of where you are defined and undefined (think chakras; they’re very similar), and then talks with you about practical solutions you can taken into resolving any disconnects.
I signed up for a free 45-minute Harmonise Your Life session, to have an idea of what her work is like, and to see how my zen human design plan is like. It’s a very generous offer - most places won’t even let you have that much time free, if at all.
Before the session, Ije had taken a look at my websites and social media - totally of her own initiative - and had a pretty good idea of who I am and where I’m coming from. She was big on letting me express my concerns in my own words, and gave enough space to listen.
She’d picked up on my disconnect between my throat and everything else - it’s something I’ve noticed for a while (physically and otherwise) and I had wondered if there was something happening spiritually too. Ije is big on self-care, and she pegged some things that I wasn’t really doing so well and were apparently not uncommon - like forgetting to eat - in the pursuit of trying to prove myself.
She helped confirm what I suspected was true but wasn’t sure: that I didn’t have to respond to everything to still be worthy, that I can walk away from something if I don’t feel like I’m up for it energetically - even if others are haranguing me for a response and using my silence as supposed proof that I don’t care. (hi, Tumblr!). It was great to know that I wasn’t alone, and that feeling like this didn’t make me a terrible person.
What really cracked me up was when we were talking about putting my skill and interest for routine choreography & artistic direction into something that pays - and she suggested I check out music video production. When I was a teenager I used to write music video treatments all the time! It was one of my dream jobs! I’m now asking people to recommend music video directors (who are their friends) to me, and I’ve got a possible appointment landed already.
If you would like to learn more about self-care, especially as an activist or healer type or even as a woman, I would suggest signing up for the Harmonise Your Life session and see how it works out for you. She only does 20 a month, but I managed to get in in just a few days, but it’s well worth a try. She even emails you the notes afterwards for reference.
Thanks Ije!
